چکیده

Bowel endometriosis is the presence of ectopic endometrial glands and stroma infiltrating intestinal wall causing bowel symptoms pain. When hormonal therapies fail, surgery becomes treatment choice nowadays a minimally invasive approach standard care. We usually adopt robotic three-trocar technique with 12-mm infraumbilical camera port, two 8-mm accesses one or laparoscopic ports. Eradication deep multidisciplinary involving gynecologists in all cases often colorectal surgeons urologists. Three techniques have been generally proposed for surgical endometriosis: rectal shaving, disc excision segmental resection. The first surgeries can be performed fully robotically. Segmental resection requires assistant trocars. main advantages are 3D view, stable platform, articulated instruments, better ergonomics surgeon. All these features could increase accuracy dissection compared to dissection, theoretically allowing long-term functional outcomes. drawbacks include longer operative time higher costs similar postoperative results.

Robotic treatment of colorectal endometriosis: technique, feasibility and short-term results.

BACKGROUND Deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE) is a complex disease that impairs the quality of life and the fertility of women. Since a medical approach is often insufficient, a minimally invasive approach is considered the gold standard for complete disease excision. Robotic-assisted surgery is a revolutionary approach, with several advantages compared with traditional laparoscopic surgery....

Robotic-Assisted Laparoscopic Management of Ureteral Endometriosis

Endometriosis is the leading cause of female pelvic pain and infertility and affects approximately 10% of women. Lesions involve the urinary tract in up to 6% of cases with ureteral involvement in a smaller subset of .08% to 1%. Multiple authors describe open and laparoscopic approaches to management of ureteral endometriosis; however, this report describes 2 cases of ureteral obstruction secon...
